Say YES to Peer Pressure
So the only people that post messages to my blog are demanding that I use the nickname "Roomerino" for my roommate so that there is no confusion with Mpls Ju's friend "Roomie". Since I don't want to lose the only groupies I have ever had, I will oblige. I reserve the right to change the nickname to something else in the future since I'm sure I can come up with a better nickname.
I had dinner tonight with my roommate emeritus, Flying V. I have seen very little of him in the long time since he has been studying for his big actuarial exam tomorrow in some undisclosed location. We went to Red Robin. I'm not a big fan of the restaurant, but Flying V deserved to eat where he wanted to the day before he takes the most vicious exam ever written. I hope he does well because I wouldn't wish failure on Course 8 to anyone, even my most mortal of enemies (not that I have any mortal enemies).
So I found out from Flying V tonight that a story about me from this past summer was fairly common knowledge among my friends here despite the fact that I have not discussed it with anybody here in CT except Roomerino (I didn't even say anything to Flying V before tonight). I'm a little disappointed that people were gossiping about me and no one asked me about the incident(s) in question. I hate gossip. I could rant about it for several paragraphs, but I don't think that is necessary.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EXTERNALLY WRITE ABOUT GOSSIP AND THEN NOT TELL US WHAT THE GOSSIP IS! That's like, a rule of blogging.
If you see him, tell V good luck from me. I assume that this is the same V that I met, and I also assume that we're likethisclose and he would, of course, want my wishes of luck... since we met one time and all.
Isn't Red Robin the place where a woman once found a finger in her salad? And Jules, didn't one of your sister's boyfriends take her to Red Robin for homecoming or prom or something? Those are the only two things I remember about the franchise.
Anyways, way to submit to the peer pressure. And thanks for calling her Ju's friend, and not mine. I certainly don't want to claim her as my own.
wow. this was a really long comment. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE COMMENT? I know you all are reading...

Flying V!!! What a great nickname!! I was going to write something snarky as soon as I read "I can come up with a better nickname than Roomerino" but then you showed me up with Flying V...congrats, Ginew.
Red Robin...why anyone would want to go there, I don't know. I agree it should be Flying V's choice, because he's the one taking the test, but Red Robin? I can think of a dozen chain restaurants I like more than that place, ie Olive Garden, Chili's, TGIFriday's, Jimmy Johns, etc etc. I went to Red Robin with my family once and got fajitas, and they were all out of normal tortillas so I had to have "low-carb" tortillas - yuck! What kind of restaurant runs out of tortillas?? Red Robin, that's what kind of restaurant.
