Nice Surprise

I received a gift in the mail from the Michigan Marching Band. They sent me a live recording of Crisler Concert 2005 as a thank you for my gift to the Elbel Club last year. The band sent me a similar gift a few years ago from the 2002 Crisler Concert. Looking at the songs from the 2005 season, I was quite jealous. Back when I was in the band, we played a whole bunch of classical crap and stuff that never entertained the audience. The band has gotten much better at entertaining the audience with their current director.

I'm listening to the CD right now. I only have one beef. The band sounds awesome (as always). However, whoever set up the microphones at the Crisler Concert is on my shit list. You can barely hear the trumpets, and I am sure it's because the microphones are located by the horns and trombones. I find that incredibly frustrating given my roots. Boo urns. Oh well, it's still a cool CD and a nice gift from the band.
