CT is fun again. YAY!

Now that almost all of my friends are done with their actuarial exams this season, I can see my friends again! I participated in Flying V and Redneck's post exam tradition of going to the casino last night. I haven't been to Foxwoods to play poker in several months for some unexplainable reason. I won $23 despite moving up to a higher limit for the first time, so I basically just paid for my gas money and dinner. Tonight, a bunch of us are going out for wings at this place out in Coventry. Although Coventry is basically in the middle of nowhere, this place we are going to is always packed since the wings are absolutely awesome. I'm excited!

I am trying to convince a few friends that there is no better way to spend the day Saturday than roadtripping to Happy Valley for the Penn State-Wisconsin football game. Don't know if I'll be going yet, but hopefully I can find some interested friends to join me. Of course, it won't be easy finding tickets since this is a huge game and we probably won't get into town until 2-3 hours before the game if we actually go.

Why is it called "happy valley"? I thought Penn State was in State College. I suppose I could google it, but I'd rather bother you with the question instead.

I'm having brain lapse because this is so confusing. What needs to happen to put us in the best position? If Penn State wins, then they have to lose to MSU. If Wisconsin wins, then they have to lose to Iowa. I realize all of that. But ideally, we want Penn State to win, right, because we beat Penn State and if Wisconsin then loses to Iowa we would then have a shot at the BCS bowl bid, right? Or does it not really matter? Help me out here, people.

I don't know why it's called Happy Valley. I'm guessing it's because "WE OWN...Penn State!" :)

I won't be going to the game after all in PA. Only Flying V wanted to join me. We couldn't fill my car with PSU grads, which is quite sad. It's like their biggest home game in 6 years.

I'll watch the game on TV and root for the double forfeit.
