I'll Take Clueless for $200 Alex

I was driving home this evening from work (after The Swinging Bunts softball game). In a hurry to get home and not really paying much attention to my surroundings given the light traffic, I started going about 55 on Cottage Grove Road (speed limit 40). After about 15-20 seconds at this speed, I realize that I just passed a cop car at a high speed!

I hit the brakes immediately and started going the speed limit. The cop car catches up to me and starts driving next to me in the other lane. I look over, and he's laughing at me. Seriously, I just passed a cop car at 15mph over the limit. If I were him, I think I would have done the same. What the hell was I thinking?

At least I didn't get pulled over, but I think I was about to get pulled over for speeding if I didn't slow down so quickly. I didn't speed the rest of the way home.
