Celebrity Sighting
When you live in Hartford, it's rare to spot a celebrity around town. In fact, it's so rare that I've had to lower my definition of 'celebrity' in order to pad my count.
Given my relaxed standard, I added another notch to my celebrity sighting belt today. My count is up to...2.
The first celebrity sighting was a little over a year ago when I saw Pauly Shore eating dinner at a restaurant a few tables away from me. Sighting #2 was at the Apple Store at the mall today. I finally saw an ESPN personality. Six years of living in Hartford and it's the first time I recognized an ESPN personality around town. It was Kenny Mayne. He was with his daughter trying to get technical assistance on his laptop. He's also taller than I expected (about my height).
For those of you wondering why I was in the Apple Store, I finally decided to replace my iPod Nano, which broke over a year ago. With a couple road trips and a few flights on tap over the next several weeks, I decided that it was time to finally replace my iPod to help pass the time while traveling.

I'm surprised you even recognized Pauly "the weasel" Shore, Gary. I've seen some pics on the gossip blogs I read, and he's a far cry from his younger self (at least in those pictures). Did you tell him to wheeze the ju-uice? :)
