Fight On
I still can't get the damn USC fight song out of my head. I heard it about 500 times at the 2004 Rose Bowl and I'm sure I'll hear it 600 times on TV tonight. It is quite a catchy tune though.
Go USC! Yes, I am basing my rooting interests on the school that has the better fight song. I just can't root for a team whose fight song is "I've Been Workin on the Railroad".

I almost left halfway through the 4th quarter yesterday, since it was getting a little late and I was tired and it looked like USC was about to make yet another 2nd half comeback. Glad I didn't. Regardless, it's clear USC was the better team but that Texas made the plays to win (sarcasm). Vince Young is a freaking stud.
What an awesome game! I yelled "dagger" when USC went up by 12 late in the game, but I stayed up to watch the end since Texas pulled a similar comeback on UM last year and USC also has a pourous D. I knew the game was over when White was stuffed on 4th down. At least they went for it. Lloyd would have punted and let the other team drive the length of the field instead of trying to get 1-2 yds to end the game.
What a game! Matt Leinart needs to learn how to be a gracious loser.
Totally. While the press did catch him at a bad time, and he IS accustomed to winning, saying "I thought we were better and they shouldn't have won" is one of those phrases I imagine coaches train their players NOT to say. How about some credit to Young or something?
How would you feel with Young in Honolulu Blue, Ginew?
