In the presence of a celebrity
I was hanging out at Starbucks this afternoon drinking a hot chocolate. I was sitting near a young child that was crying. I was a little annoyed, but little kids cry alot, so it's ok. I noticed that the mother of the crying child looked familiar, but I wasn't quite sure where I recognized her from. She was very tall and likely a basketball player (she was taller than me). I start thinking that it could possibly be Rebecca Lobo even though I have never seen her in person before. I remembered that Rebecca Lobo is married to a Sports Illustrated columnist. I looked over and recognized the husband immediately (Steve Rushin). He was wearing a Boston Celtics jacket. Is it sad that I recognized a sports columnist easier than an all-world basketball player, especially since Rebecca Lobo might be the most popular celebrity/athlete that lives in Connecticut?
I didn't say anything to them. It's not like I am a huge fan and I am sure they wanted their privacy. Still, it's an interesting story. I guess.

I was thinking most popular celebrity or athlete. She's definitely the most popular athlete. I agree that Geno and Calhoun might be more popular celebrities, but it's debateable.
Damn. Please bring back the Whalers!!!!
