Not So Friendly World Cup

All my teams are sucking at the World Cup this year. First, the US proved that it will never be able to play the game with the big fish. Then today, the Dutch fell in an ugly, nasty game to Portugal. Granted I missed most of the game since I was pissing my money away in my annual poker tournament, but I did read about it afterwards and boy was it a nasty game. Now I am left rooting for Ghana and England. Afterwards, I could not care less.

As for the annual poker tournament, only 19 people showed up this year. Not quite the turnout I am used to (I usually get around 25-30), but it was still a decent showing. I came in a disappointing 10th, which is sadly better than everyone who played that reads this blog except for TheCrazyCanuck (who finished 2nd...congrats!). I should probably stop now before FlyingV complains about a bad beat I put on him to knock him out of the tournament in 19th place.

Tomorrow is the official move date. Although I am taking the day off work, it will not be a relaxing day between getting all my furniture over to Manchester and emptying/cleaning out the apartment here in Bloomfield. However, I don't expect to be away for long since the internet should be all set up at my new place, though I have not tested it yet.
