Pooped

If you count the 30 minutes of sleep I got on the plane tonight, I am going on five hours of sleep since 8AM Sunday. I'm so tired.

The Philly trip was super busy. I had like 20 minutes all day to check e-mail and voice mail and just plain relax. I was busy all day learning the extra work I am picking up for a few months. I thought I was just picking up a small piece of work, but it turns out I am responsible for a lot more than I realized. While the additional work in my day won't be too difficult, I learned today that I am taking on additional staff until this guy gets replaced in June or July. Since the job doesn't compare that much with what I do now, I've got a lot to learn in order to get up to speed. Throw in a monthly reporting cycle that is during the last week of each month and I will be quite busy for a while. However, if all goes well, taking on the extra work should help me find a job in Philly should I decide to pursue that option over the next few months.

On a bright side (at least for RoopDogg), my new direct report gradauted from Bucknell University.
