You non-believers are missing out on the Stanley Cup playoffs. Even this guy agrees.
Is there anything better than overtime hockey in the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Just like pick up games growing up. Next goal wins! Play on until the game ends. Even if it takes six extra periods! How can you not be excited by this? Reminds me of our neighborhood street hockey games when I was a young lad. We would play timed periods instead of to a set score just so we could have the occasional "overtime" marathon.
NOTHING is more exciting. Especially when Detroit wins in DOUBLE OT! :) Yay! Wings lead the series 1-0 thanks to some clutch saves by Manny Legace, some fantastic defense by Nicklas Lidstrom, and a pair of lucky-ass goals by Kirk Maltby to tie the game at two late in the 3rd period and to win the game in OT.
