Classic Sparty

Anyone see the end of the MSU-Notre Dame game tonight? I only saw the 4th quarter. What a finish! I think Desmond Howard summed it up best after the game on the ESPN Gameday set when he said that this was classic MSU football and that "they always find a way to lose". He then went on to call them chokers. Now that is a true Michigan Man.

Although harsh, it's so true. For the third year in a row, MSU blew a 16+ point fourth quarter lead in a game. They may have escaped their collapse a year ago in South Bend, but they choked against Michigan two years ago and again tonight against the Irish. No killer instinct. No discipline. They were celebrating their supposed victory for several quarters and got exactly what they deserved. Another 'L' for Johnnie 'L'.

The faces on the fans at the game after ND took the lead with two minutes to play was priceless. How could they be so stunned??? They've seen their team choke like this annually for a few years now.

Too bad there won't be a huge undefeated showdown with MSU in two weeks. However, I love watching them collapse like this, even if it was against Notre Dame.

You can check out my comments on the game in the comments of Mouse's happiness is beer and football post...but yeah, I was pretty stunned myself, if only because both teams looked pretty crappy, and I wouldn't have guessed ND had it in them to make the "comeback."
